FAWN CREEK COUNTRY CLUB
Located on the east edge of Anamosa is this beautiful nine-hole course which is stretched out over 3,260 yards. Fawn Creek is known for its long, wide-open fairways with a pond and creek water hazard. Unrestricted play is available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays for non-members. LITTLE BEAR COUNTY CLUB
One of Jones County’s best kept secrets and the pride of Wyoming. This very challenging and spacious course is located a quarter mile north of Wyoming on Iowa 136. The nine-hole par 36 course is laid out over 2,884 yards with rolling hills and a scenic pond. Carts are available. For more information call (319)488-2559.
MONTICELLO GOLF CLUB
Located adjacent to the Great Jones County Fairgrounds and the Maquoketa River in Monticello. This course has seen some recent renovation to make the course more challenging and has a newly built clubhouse. While it is a private club, it is open to non-members from outside the Monticello school district. The nine-hole par 36 course is laid out over 2,660 yards. Carts are available. WAPSIPINICON COUNTRY CLUB
This nine-hole course is tucked between the scenic bluffs of the Wapsipinicon State Park and the Wapsipinicon River. It features very tough rolling hills and is laid out over 2,990 yards. Members only play on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Carts are available. For more information call (319) 462-3930.
COONHUNTERS GOLF CLUB
A small out-of-the-way nine-hole par 3 course which is the most unusual course in Jones County. The most outstanding feature is its tough sand greens. It is open to the public and is located a few miles northeast of Scotch Grove.
